Raced today. Took powerbar gel chomps cola flavor about an hour before and then gu right before run started. not a pr but still a pretty good race. the slight hill from 2-2.5 pulled at my quads a bit and i didnt want to push to much since i bricked yesterday. kept a pretty good even pace thru out the run. last.5 miledown hillwas a full sprint that carried it home. the hill brought my heart rate up to 100% max which i should have eased off more but didntandit made me throw up at finish line due to the super fast downhill sprint. oh well. it wasnt that bad. had a great time and of course had a celebratory beer at the end. Conversing with good friends after made this a great "non scheduled training day"
OOTR: nike visor, oakleys, fuel belt hand held, ifitness bib belt, garmin 310xt, wren lululemon CRB, camo speeds lululemon, lucy double time black sports bra, nike pegasus 28 for their inaugural race! Perfect attire, no chaffing, excellent coverage and support!
Addendum: Hot stone massage pedicure is WONDERFUL at the end of a training week. The stones pull soreness from calves!!! And pretty toes are always a must!! ;-))
